Nel marzo 2024 siamo tornati a La Bandera, nella rinomata regione di Tarrazu, in Costa Rica. Incontrare Diego Hidalgo nella sua bellissima fattoria, arroccata alta sul fianco verde della montagna, è stato un piacere: il ricco aroma del caffè che essiccava al sole era inconfondibile. Diego è orgoglioso della lavorazione e dell'essiccazione accurata del suo caffè, che producono un'entusiasmante varietà di sapori. Il nostro secondo lotto della stagione da La Bandera è questo magnifico lotto da filtro.

I brewed this as a pour-over this morning and the natural process really shines through — it’s sweet and clean, no bitterness even as it cools. The Catuai varietal from that high Tarrazu altitude gives it a depth I haven’t found in cheaper bags.
