In maart 2024 keerden we terug naar La Bandera in de befaamde regio Tarrazu, Costa Rica. We ontmoetten Diego Hidalgo op zijn prachtige boerderij, hoog op de groene berghelling, waar de rijke geur van in de zon drogende koffie onmiskenbaar was. Diego is trots op de zorgvuldige verwerking en het drogen van zijn koffie, wat resulteert in een indrukwekkende reeks smaken. Onze tweede partij van het seizoen van La Bandera is deze uitstekende filterpartij.

I brewed this as a pour-over this morning and the natural process really shines through — it’s sweet and clean, no bitterness even as it cools. The Catuai varietal from that high Tarrazu altitude gives it a depth I haven’t found in cheaper bags.
