For the fourth season, we are sharing coffee from Antonio Medina, whose La Colina estate has become a favourite feature of our Guatemalan portfolio.
Perfect for both espresso and filter, this washed Caturra lot offers smooth, balanced sweetness. Notes of baked apple, toffee, and pecan are made for Autumn!
Brewed a batch as espresso this morning and the crema was gorgeous, thick and honey-colored. You can really taste the washed process in the clean, bright finish. This La Colina lot is easily the best Guatemalan I've had this year.
The washed process really lets the estate's character shine through—my espresso shots have that clean, sweet finish I keep chasing. This is the fourth season I've grabbed it and it's consistently been my favorite Guatemalan yet.
I brew it as a pour-over every morning and the washed process really lets the sweetness shine through, with a clean finish that lasts. It works just as well in the espresso machine too, which is a nice bonus since I switch between the two.
