Our second coffee of the season from our partners Ivan and Rose dos Santos. This Red Catuai is the pick of the harvest, with complex sweetness and silky texture. Together, notes of pear and candied almond are like a sweet frangipane tart!
That pear note really comes through on the first sip, and it lingers nicely into a sweet, candy-like finish. I brewed it in my V60 and the cup was incredibly clean and smooth from start to finish.
The silky texture on this one is what got me—it's smooth from the first sip to the last, and that candied finish lingers just right. I've already got a second bag on order, it's that good.
The pear note really comes through on the first sip, and that candied sweetness lingers just right without being cloying. Brewed it in my pour-over and the cup stayed smooth from hot to cool. This is the kind of coffee I'll be sad to run out of.
