De familie dos Santos heeft diepe wortels in het berggebied van Caconde en produceert al meer dan 40 jaar koffie. Dit seizoen is onze Red Bourbon-partij zoet van smaak met tonen van vanille en chocolade.
The vanilla and chocolate notes really come through in every sip, especially once the coffee cools a bit. I’ve been brewing it in my pour-over and the sweetness lingers nicely on the finish. Even my partner, who usually adds sugar, drank it black.
This is my third bag from this harvest and the chocolate note is just as rich as the first. The beans are so consistent, every cup has that same smooth, sweet finish.
The vanilla note comes through so clearly in the first sip, and the chocolate finish lingers just long enough to make you want another cup. Forty years of family history really shows in the depth of this Red Bourbon lot.
