Coffees from Yirgacheffe are a true seasonal highlight and we are excited to share this new lot, roasted for espresso. The fruit-forward profile is silky and sweet, with elegant complexity typical of the region.
The fruit-forward profile really shines through as an espresso—bright and juicy, not at all what I expected from a dark roast. I've been dialing it in for a week and the sweetness on the finish keeps pulling me back for another shot.
Finally pulled a shot this morning and the fruit-forward sweetness really came through, even with my basic machine. This Yirgacheffe lot is perfect for espresso — there's a brightness that cuts through milk drinks beautifully. Glad it's back for the season.
