The vibrant profile of Huye Mountain has made it one of our favourite Rwandan coffees. This washed Bourbon delivers smooth milk chocolate, bright cranberry and fragrant spice, offering a beautifully balanced cup that shines as both filter coffee and espresso.
From the first pull, the milk chocolate body is so smooth and comforting, and that cranberry brightness keeps every sip interesting. It’s become my go-to afternoon espresso when I want something balanced but not boring.
The cranberry note really pops through when I brew this as an espresso, and the milk chocolate rounds it out into something dangerously smooth. My first shot had that fragrant spice lingering on the finish, which made me go back for a second cup right away.
I’ve been pulling this as a straight espresso every morning and the milk chocolate base is so smooth it almost drinks like a dessert, then the cranberry brightness kicks in right at the end to keep it lively. The spice note lingers just enough to make the cup feel complex without being heavy.
